INTERNATIONAL ODER RIVER RAFTING "PŁYWADŁA" FROM RACIBÓRZ TO KĘDZIERZYN-KOŹLE

The traditional rafting event on the Oder River covers a 40-kilometre route from the Castle Bridge in Racibórz to the "Szkwał" marina in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. It is extremely colourful, as the competing crews sail on original, self-built vessels commonly referred to as floats [Polish: pływadła] The event attracts hundreds of water sports enthusiasts from Poland and abroad. Traditionally, the event culminates with the presentation of awards to the winners and a festival on the Oder River. Every year, the rafting event has a different theme, and every year, there are more and more additional attractions.
