INTERNATIONAL KNIGHTS' TOURNAMENT IN BISKUPICE

Every long May weekend, knights' brotherhoods from Poland and abroad gather at the Knights' Castle near Byczyna to travel back to medieval times together with locals and tourists. The tournament features numerous demonstrations (archery, artillery, siege engines), workshops (archery lessons) and games and activities for the public. They are accompanied by artistic performances and food tastings in an old Polish inn. The medieval market is a highlight of the event. The event takes place at the Knights' Castle in Biskupice. A medieval tent camp and stalls of several dozen craftsmen representing almost all of the declining medieval crafts are being built in the outer bailey.

In 2013, the tournament won an award in the Competition for the Best Tourist Product of the Opolskie Voivodeship – OROT Certificate 2013.
