THE LAND OF HONEY AND MILK FOR THE WEEKEND. KLUCZBOR-OLESNO LOCAL TOURIST ORGANIZATION
The Kluczbork-Olesno region combines unique nature, exceptional monuments, including the largest group of 38 wooden churches in the Opole region, well-developed eco-tourism and agritourism farms, good accommodation and dining options, a replica of a knight's castle and interesting events. The region is famous for its delicious honey and milk. Rev. Jan Dzierżon, a renowned beekeeper, was born here.
A weekend in the Kluczbork-Olesno region is a comprehensive leisure activity offering a chance to explore the history, nature and attractions of this area. This year-round program includes five thematic tours through the municipalities of Kluczbork County:
In a Healthy Body, Eco-Spirit!, Horseback Riding Through a Honey Land, the Charms of the Wołczyn Region,
Encountering History, Actively Surrounded by Nature and two tours from Olesno County:
Following Royal Footsteps,
The Trail of Wooden Temples and Natural Monuments.
The tours include, among others: the offer of eco- and agritourism farms, "tasting" beekeeping traditions dating back to the times of Rev. Jan Dzierżon, travelling back to the Middle Ages or exploration of charming landscape reserves. Each tour is organized by a designated entity.
Local leaders – property owners – guarantee their assistance and cooperation in organizing your leisure time. In addition to basic services such as accommodation and meals, the facilities offer: bicycle and sports equipment rentals, internet access, pet-friendly accommodations and discounts for children.
The offer is available directly from property owners, in the publication "Kluczborsko-Oleska Land for a Weekend" (published in Polish, German a, Polish and English) and on the KOLOT website.
