KNIGHT'S CASTLE IN BISKUPICE

The castle's main attraction is the opportunity to travel back in time and experience medieval culture firsthand.

A stay here guarantees great fun and an unforgettable experience. Visitors can enjoy accommodations in medieval chambers, an inn serving medieval-style food and typical knightly activities such as archery, axe throwing or workshops in the armory. You can also learn quill penmanship, papermaking and weaving using medieval methods.

A tour of the castle includes the torture chamber, courtyard, defensive walls as well as outer ward with an exhibition of siege engines and an archery course. Demonstrations of the use of siege engines, made on a 1:1 scale, are a major attraction.

The castle is open year-round, but visits are possible by prior reservation for accommodation, special events, historical workshops or demonstrations. The castle is also open during the knight's tournaments held there.

Guestscan spend time at the castle without participating in the so-called "contemporary stimulants," such as spas, solariums, etc. Instead, you can take advantage of similar, but certainly healthier, alternatives used in the Middle Ages (e.g., bathing in a Swedish tub). The most important attraction is the unscripted knight's fights (knight's tournaments), including one of the largest in Poland: the International Knight Tournament with OROT Certification in the competition for the Best Tourist Product - OROT Certification 2013.

The product "Polish-Czech Knight Training Centre GRÓD near Byczyna" submitted by the GRÓD Social Cooperative in 20212 won the Competition for the Best Tourist Product - OROT Certificate 2012 in the "Facility"category.
