NATURE AND LANDSCAPE COMPLEX "LIPNO"

A former English-style landscape park, founded in the late 18th century by Count Jan Nepomucen Karol Praschma, owner of the Niemodlin estate. Its most valuable feature is the oldest dendrological garden (arboretum) in Poland, with numerous specimens of exotic trees. A nature and educational trail has been marked out here, along which almost a hundred species of trees and shrubs grow. The garden's greatest ornamentation is the rhododendrons, as well as azaleas, kalmias and tulip trees, which are particularly beautiful in bloom. The park boasts numerous monumental trees,

four of which – planted during the park's establishment and considered the oldest specimens in Poland – are designated natural monuments. These are the giant arborvitae, the Virginia juniper, the American tulip tree and the ginkgo biloba.

Currently, the arboretum is part of the "Lipno" nature and landscape complex administered by the Tułowice Forest District and covers an area of 4.18 ha, located in the Goszczyce Forest District.
