GEOPARK AT ST. ANNE'S MOUNTAIN
One of three geoparks in Poland, established in 2010 due to the unique geological features of the volcanic St. Anne's Mountain. It is located entirely within the St. Anne's Mountain Landscape Park, occupying over half of its
area. A 10-kilometer hiking and cycling trail has been created within the geopark, connecting the most interesting natural and geological sites: a geosite of volcanic rocks – nephelinites – located in a former quarry on St. Anne's Mountain, the "Krowioka" Valley, a rock amphitheater, the "Biesiec" nature reserve, the Ligota Dolna quarry and the "Ligota Dolna" xerothermic vegetation reserve. Eleven geosites with information boards are located along the trail. Regarding the landscape park itself, it is worth emphasizing that it uniquely combines the natural and historical values of the western part of the Silesian Upland, which makes it attractive and unique in Poland.
