REGIONAL MUSEUM IN GŁOGÓWEK

Memorabilia of Głogówek's rich history, connected with such things as the stay of King John II Casimir, Ludwig van Beethoven's visit and the dedication of the Fourth Symphony in B flat major, Op. 60, to Count von Oppersdorff, can be seen at the Regional Museum in Głogówek, which also organises the annual Ludwig van Beethoven Festival in Głogówek.

The history of the Museum dates back to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, when it was situated in the lower castle.

Today, it is located at ul. Słowackiego 1. At the museum, you can learn all about Głogówek, visit a temporary exhibition, climb a medieval tower and see a panorama of the city. In addition, museum lessons are also available.

The Regional Museum in Głogówek is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Museum allows visitors to book a city guide who will assist them in exploring the city. Guides also provide services at weekends and outside the museum's regular opening hours. It is worth noting that museum lessons, visits to temporary exhibitions at the museum and admission to the tower are free of charge.
