MUSEUM OF X-RAY TUBES OF OPOLE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY IN OPOLE

The Museum of the Museum of X-Ray Tubes of Opole University of Technology in Opole is a unique institution with the largest collection of X-ray tubes in the world. It is located at Prószkowska Street, on one of the campuses of the Opole University of Technology. The museum's collection contains over 1,400 exhibits and is constantly being expanded. The exhibition includes one of the largest X-ray tubes in the world, manufactured in the 1930s by the US inventor William David Coolidge, known as the "father of the modern X-ray tube". In a specially prepared room at the museum, known as the "secret room" and funded by one of Opole's companies, visitors can learn about the history of Wilhelm Röntgen's discovery of X-rays.

All this can be experienced in an environment arranged with mirrors and lights. Visits to the museum are possible by prior appointment by phone. Admission is free.
