ZAWADZKIE
Situated in the picturesque Mała Panew Valley and beautiful forests, the town was established as a workers' colony around a glassworks. Its symbol is the glassworks boiler room chimney which is 96 meters high! Among the cultural assets, noteworthy are the "Hunting Castle" from 1856 and the Evangelical church from 1893. Also worth a visit are the Silesian Chamber of Tradition in the High School and the Forest and Nature Education Centre with the Forest and Nature Chamber and the John Paul II Education and Nature Garden with the Papal Oak. Canoe harbours and bicycle paths await aficionados of active leisure.
