KOLONOWSKIE
Kolonowskie is a locality made up of several settlements founded in the XVIIIth century: Bzinitzka, Rogolowietz, and Staniska Kolonia, later known as
Haraschowska. Situated on the Mała Panew River - known as the “Opole Amazon” - within the protected Stobrawa–Turawa Forests area, the town is particularly renowned for its rich natural environment. The surrounding forests are ideal for hiking and cycling, while the Mała Panew River is perfect for canoeing and kayaking trips. Flowing almost entirely in its natural riverbed and forming numerous picturesque meanders and oxbow lakes, the river offers excellent conditions for kayaking enthusiasts. Kolonowskie is also worth visiting because of the Regional History Room located in a historic wooden cottage - a project created by local residents and members of the “Kolping Family” association. Nearby, there is also an exhibition pavilion displaying agricultural equipment from past decades.
