FRÄNKEL VILLA IN PRUDNIK
One of the most distinguished buildings in Prudnik, the villa of Samuel Fränkel, a textile factory co-owner and great philanthropist, stands as a testament to the history of Prudnik’s industrialist families. Erected in the late 19th century in the Classicist style, it served as a residential villa. Often referred to as the ‘White House’, it delights visitors primarily with its architectural opulence. The interior is equally impressive, particularly the staircase with its exquisite wooden stairs and a biblical fresco depicting the ‘Finding of Moses’. An interesting feature is the symbolic design of three internal elements: the fireplace, the Art Nouveau fountain, and the large skylight were intended to represent the three elements of fire, water, and air. Today, the Fränkel Villa is the seat of the Prudnik Cultural Centre.
