JAKUBUS PALACE IN JAKUBOWICE

This Neoclassical palace was erected in the late 19th century. Its creator and first owner was Moritz Karl Ernst von Prittwitz und Gaffron – a general and military engineer responsible for, among other projects, the construction of the Poznań Fortress. Currently in private hands, the residence is surrounded by a four-hectare park and a moat (largely filled in during 1926). The complex now boasts three high-standard hotel facilities: in addition to the historic Palace, guests may stay in the ‘Rooms over the Stables’ (Pokoje nad Stajnią) or the ‘Hotel behind the Park’ (Hotel za Parkiem). Visitors also have access to a spa zone and stylish dining facilities. Jakubus is renowned for its riding school and stables, and serves as the venue for official equestrian competitions at regional, national, and international levels.
