MOSZNA CASTLE

One of the most famous residences in Poland, it brings to mind a fairy-tale atmosphere. The Moszna Castle, with its 99 towers and turrets and 365 chambers, is situated on an area of 8,000 square metres and is surrounded by a 10-hectare park. The castle was built in the late 19th century on the site of a partially burned-down Baroque palace. It is the realisation of the vision of the then owner of Moszna - Franz Hubert von Tiele-Winckler. It was inhabited by his heirs until the end of World War II. After that, its fortunes varied greatly. Today, it is one of the biggest tourist attractions of the Opole Voivodeship, open to the public. Here you will also find the Castle Restaurant listed on the "Opole Bifyj" Culinary Trail.

Those whose dream is to live in a fairy-tale castle can spend the night in the stylish and luxurious rooms and apartments.

The scent of flowers, the sounds of beautiful music, the fairy-tale and colourful scenery of the castle – this is what spring weekends in Moszna look like. Ever since 1984, the unique Azalea Blossom Music Festival has been held here every year. Its founder and creator was Polish musicologist Zdzisław Pawlicki, and its primary purpose is to promote Polish artists, composers, and the most talented musicians from the region. During the festival, extraordinary concerts are held at the castle every weekend, attracting crowds of locals and tourists.

The castle is the laureate of many competitions, it boasts numerous awards and decorations, including three consecutive main prizes in the Competition for the Best Tourism Product of the Opole Voivideship OROT Certificate (in the years: 2015, 2016, 2017). In 2018, it received the Polish Tourism Organisation Certificate and was named the Best Tourism Product in Poland!
