"POKOLEI" CERAMICS MUSEUM
The Ceramics Museum in Tułowice is located in the building of the former railway station at ul. Porcelanowa 4. In 2021, the building underwent a thorough renovation and was adapted to its new function. The museum consists of three exhibition rooms and a workshop, and the display cases feature products from the now defunct Fabryka Porcelitu Tułowice S.A. (Tułowice Porcelain Factory). These include ceramic tableware and dessertware, cups, mugs, tankards, platters or vases and commemorative figurines. The exhibition presents a comprehensive overview of the styles and decorations produced at the Tułowice factory between 1947 and 2001. All this to save the ceramic heritage from oblivion. The Ceramics Museum workshop in Tułowice hosts workshops on topics such as porcelain painting, jewellery making, mosaics from broken plates, and many others. The museum offers a three-hour guided tour of the town following in the footsteps of Tułowice porcelain, or a map with marked monuments. The museum opened in
February 2023. The history of ceramics in Tułowice dates back 210 years.
In 2023, the "PoKolei" Ceramics Museum has received a certificate in the Competition for the Best Tourist Product of the Opolskie Voivodship in the category "Tourist Discovery of the Year".
