BISHOP'S COURT IN NYSA

The Bishop's Court in Nysa is located on the site of the 13th-century bishops' castle which was the first residence of the bishops of Wrocław in Nysa. The castle did not survive to the present day; it was demolished in 1824. Only the outbuildings remain. The current appearance of the court is a 17th-19th century reconstruction. Near the court are fragments of medieval defensive walls with two preserved fortified towers. Today, the Bishop's Court is regaining its former splendor, attracting tourists and residents with catering and hospitality services and well as cultural events. The courtyard can be accessed from Chodowiecki Street.
