ZIĘBICE TOWER IN NYSA
The Ziębice Tower in Nysa is one of the city's four gate towers. It was built in the mid-14th century along with a system of medieval defense walls. It is a four-sided brick Gothic tower, altered and made higher during the Renaissance. A stone lion which, according to legend, had been brought from war expeditions from Ziębice, was set into its facade. It features distinctive wall holes which were left there by
the old scaffolding.
