EDUCATIONAL TRAILS IN THE LUBSZA DISTRICT

To accommodate the increase in pedestrian traffic, a number of hiking trails have been established within the Brzeg Forest District. In the Lubsza district, a 7-kilometer educational trail with information boards has been established, forming a loop from the town of Rogalice, through the forest complex near the Lubsza Nature Reserve, and returning to Rogalice. A second trail runs around the Lubsza Reserve for 2.3 km. This section of the educational trail follows the yellow hiking trail from the entrance to the Lubsza Nature Reserve to the parking lot on the Lubsza-Mąkoszyce road. The route is 2,300 meters long and takes 2

hours to complete. The trail features 10 educational stations thematically related to the forest section being visited, each equipped with exhibits that also serve a practical purpose.

The second section is a 7-kilometer cycling and hiking trail with a 4-6-hour tour. The tour begins at the Rogalice Forest District parking lot. The parking lot is equipped with a board with a map of the forest district, marking nature reserves, parking areas, etc., two shelters, benches and tables. The parking lot has a designated area for a bonfire and grill, and a sign informing about forest prohibitions. The trail begins with a board with a map of the trail's course, describing its attractions. The trail is designed so that visitors who cannot explore the entire route due to time or mobility constraints can familiarize themselves with its main section, presenting general issues of forest management and its sectors, forest and nature conservation, and their multifunctional role. For this reason, the initial section of the trail has a dense number of educational stations with more boards. This 1,600-meter section (including the return route) takes approx. 1.5 – 2 hours to explore. Boards located along the further route are thematically related to the economic and natural facilities at the exhibition site.

The entire route is marked with directional signs.
